I got back involved with Movember because of a close family friend, David Risk. David a childhood friend of my boys was always one of our own. David took his life last year after battling his personal demons, far too often afflicting many men. I never fathomed David taking his own life. This frightened me, couldn't believe it, didn't see "the signs". Harsh reality is that there are often no signs, people suffer in silence. It breaks my heart David may have suffered in silence. David was a great young man, talented musician, friend. He was one of my boys, and left his mark in our lives. We loved Dave, he will never be forgotten.

Today on the 11th minute of the 11th hour take a moment to honor and remember the members of our country's armed services who protect our freedoms. Lets pay tribute to these courageous men and women who are on active duty, Veterans and those who provide services for Veterans. Lets recognize the importance of maintaining the health of our troops before, during and after activy duty.
