Our Motivation

I am usually never at a loss for words but this is tough because it’s still not real to me. As many of you know we lost a member of our grumpy old men team in Jeff. I have gone over what to say for the last 7 months and still can’t do it. I want to make it perfect to honour Jeff and his family on behalf of Mike and myself. The reality is there isn’t anything perfect to say which I think is why most of us keep silent about mental health. We just need to talk, no matter how big or small the problem may seem.

Jeff was an amazing person and even though it hurt me to tell him when he was here because he was cocky about it haha. It would come up at the most random times and he would sit back smirking waiting for me to say it. I did over and over without knowing his struggles. I could write for days on how great he was and if anyone wants to sit to chat it’s one of my favourite subjects, please reach out. I wish I could go back to change something to avoid writing this but sadly I cannot. All we can do is push forward to bring awareness to save as many bros as we can through this forum and any others that will hear us.

I don’t ever want to lose another bro and this is my promise to end this stigma for Jeff who was so passionate about Movemeber, even though he always needed a head start to grow a Mo!
