My motivation

Just before Christmas 2020, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Three weeks later I was in the hospital during COVID getting operated on. My cancer was caught because my family doctor prescribed a PSA test as part of my routine annual physical.

I was fortunate enough to have a (mostly) successful surgery (thank you doctor Kinahan!), but I am not out of the woods yet. My cancer has returned, so I'm doing Movember again.

My daughters figure I got the cancer because I hadn't done Movember for a couple of years, so of course I have to put away my razor for Movember!

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.
