My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

This one is near and dear to my heart ya'll! On January 5th, 2018, I lost my Grandad, Bruce Hood, after a 4-year battle with prostate cancer. He was not only a role model to me and my family, but to many people across the world who love the game of hockey!

During his 21-year NHL career, Bruce refereed 1033 regular season games, 157 Stanley Cup playoff games, three All-Star Games, and three Canada Cups. He was also the referee for Game 4 of the 1970 Stanley Cup Finals, when the Bobby Orr score the winning goal 40-seconds into overtime and then was tripped moments later by Noel Picard. Bruce’s (and my) claim to fame is that his striped arm is in the photo of Bobby Orr flying through the air. What a legend. Wish he was still here today.

Bruce's battle with cancer could have been prevented if they caught it sooner, by him going to get checked. One of the things he drilled into my head during his last few months was to spread the word on getting checked! It could save a life...

Globally, more than 1.4M men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. The Movember Foundation is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030, and I want to help them get there.

Since I can’t grow much of a mustache, I am going to be walking & running 60km during the month of November to help to stop men dying too young. Any support is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance
