Here's why Movember is especially significant for me:

Jim (my father-in-law)
Jim's tumour wasn't detected until it was too late. He was a big, strong man. He was never sick, ever! He toughed through life's aches and pains and never felt he needed to see his doctor. Until one day he had trouble urinating. Prostate cancer had spread undetected into his colon and bones. He passed away just 2 months after diagnosis, a bony shell of the man he had been just weeks before.

College athlete - 25
Suicide is tragic at the best of times, no more so than at a young age. Last summer, a friend lost a second college football teammate in his mid-twenties to suicide: both victims of depression brought on by repeated head trauma. I'm told he felt there was nowhere he could turn to for help.

It is my hope that through the Movember movement we can all work together to eliminate the stigma of men asking for help.
