Here's why Movember is especially significant for me:

My wife lost her father to a tumor that wasn't detected until it was too late. Jim was a big, strong man. He was never sick, ever! He toughed through life's aches and pains and never felt he needed to see his doctor. Until one day he had trouble urinating and was forced to go for a check-up. Slow growing Prostate cancer - that had previously seemed insignificant - had spread undetected into his colon and bones. He passed away 2 months after diagnosis, just a shell of the man he had been just weeks before.

College athlete - 25
Suicide is tragic at the best of times, no more so than at a young age. Last summer, a friend lost a second college football teammate in his mid-twenties to suicide: both victims of depression brought on by repeated head trauma. I'm told he felt there was nowhere he could turn to for help.

It is my hope that through the Movember movement we can all work together to eliminate the stigma of men asking for help.

Please make a donation if you can. If you are coming on the 18th, please total up your ticket price and donate that amount (or more if you can). I will arrange tickets for you and your guests.

- Adult Entry + Dinner Special $50 (advance ticket only)
- 25 & under $15
- 25 and under + Dinner Special $40 (advance ticket only)

Dinner Special is Beef/Veg Burger+Fries+Beer (incl taxes & 20% tip)

PLEASE - make a point to talk to all the men in your life: Fathers, Brothers, Uncles, Friends... let them know there are people and resources available to help - and it's cool to reach out.

Let's stop men dying too young.

A huge thank you to everyone who atended our band's Movember Fundraiser on Friday... we raised $3,241.35 And equally important we raised awareness for Men's health, including Prosate and Testicular Cancers.

If you haven't recently ... see your doctor and get checked. You'd be nuts not to.
