My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

Here we go!

This is my fourth year raising money for the Movemeber charity, and third as part of my local department team.

My personal motivation is to raise awareness around the mental health challenges of our emergency services family, to help remove the stigmas that prevent them finding the care they need, and to help the Movember charity reach their goal of reducing suicide rates by 25% through 2030.

Thank you again for your support these past years; your donations are helping so many in our communities!

Thank-you for your commitment and support.

We've now arrived at Movember 30 and everyone in this challenge should pause for a moment to reflect on an amazing job done, what can only be described as an epic 'stache and an impressive commitment to help change the face of men's health.

As Mo season is coming to a close, I want to flag that the leaderboards will officially close on Thursday, December 7th at 5 pm EST, marking the moment we crown our 2023 Movember champions of each challenge. While donations can still be received after this time, please note that they won't contribute to the leaderboard race.

Thanks for all you have done this year and will continue to do as we move forward.

Mid month update! Pender Island Fire Rescue is currently in the top 20 of the 267 participating departments nationwide!!! A HUGE well done to the team. At 4010 in donations, we are set to smash our goal of 5000. There is still plenty of Movember so please grow and show, or make a move for cancer research and mental health/ suicide prevention programs!

Week one clean up! this ain't no bedtime story...(JH)

Thanks to all who have donated and messaged your support! The Pender Island Fire Rescue team is sitting at just under 2000 after only eight days! To make the top 20 in the country among the departments competing in the Great Canadian Fire Challenge we need to break 2550!
Please check the website out and give in support of your brothers, fathers, sons, partners, and friends!!
Thank you all!

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
