How's it MOing? I hope that the start to your Movember has been fantastic! This week let's talk about our prostate. Did you know that prostate cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among men?

• 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime (2022) which is why early detection is critical.
• Talk to your doctor so that you can understand your individual risk factors.
• More than 4,580 men died due to prostate cancer during 2020 in Canada - this is 10% of all cancer deaths in men in 2020.
• On average, 51.6 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every day in Canada (2022).
• In Canada, Movember is the second largest funder of overall projects relating to prostate cancer research, investing over $107 million since 2008.

Your dough could save a bro. Donate: https://ca.movember.com/team/2396028

Good evening everyone,

I’m excited to share that our 2023 Movember campaign online E-Store for merchandise is now live! I would like to thank those of you who took the time to support the development of this catalogue with Ricart and hope that we can collectively circulate the following information throughout CEFS.

By using the following link (https://stores.inksoft.com/clarington_efs_movember_fund/shop/home), you will be able to order 1 of 4 items that have been selected for this year’s inaugural merchandise catalogue.

Here are a few important items to take note of for this year’s campaign:

1) Following the close of our online E-Store, $10.00 from every sale/item will be donated directly towards our CEFS Movember team page and the Movember Foundation.

2) Our E-Store will remain open until Wednesday November 22nd at midnight. Following the close of our E-Store, Ricart will begin individually packaging orders which will be picked up on Tuesday December 12.

3) Individual orders will be delivered to each station. Please ensure your name and station are included in your order. There will be a field to capture this during your checkout.

4) Everyone is encouraged to promote our online E-Store on their respective social media accounts to help drive sales and in turn, bolster our fundraising efforts towards the great Canadian Fire Challenge.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any comments, questions, or concerns.

Thank you,

Ian

Together, we have the power to change the world. It starts with the little things. And the first step? Coming together to help your brothers in the name of men’s health. This Movember, your support will help us spark change in Canada and around the world, as we take on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Our work has never been more relevant or important. And let’s face it, we could all do with some fun. This month, we implore you to;
• GROW: Grow a Mo, raise funds and save lives
• MOVE: Take on Movember’s physical activity challenge.
o Run or walk 60km over the course of the month. That's 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide globally every hour.
• HOST: Throw an event to raise funds for men’s health.
o It can be anything from a trivia night to a work social - anything that brings people together to have fun and do good.
• MO YOUR OWN WAY: A choose-your-own-adventure challenge.
o You make the rules, set the limits, inspire donations.

Your dough could save a bro. More information can be found at https://ca.movember.com/about/foundation
