Hello folks! Track Two of the Movember Jazz playlist is as sentimental as it gets, a tender and minimal version of the jazz standard, "Blame It On My Youth", by the brilliant Ukrainian pianist and composer Ruslan Sirota. At just two minutes long, I hope you'll take a moment to slow your roll, be in the moment, and just... listen. It's all about mental health at this point.

Who's ready for some sentimental jazz?

Once again, I'm merging my amateur piano habit with Movember to raise funds for men's health with the mighty Morgan Stanley Montreal team.

No Bach this time, sorry. I'm aiming for a chiller vibe: a Sentimental Jazz Playlist. Stay tuned for four or five tracks to help slow your roll, soothe your soul, and movtivate you to support men's health.

This week, I bring you Track One, the great jazz standard, Autumn Leaves, chosen because it's a) lovely and b) seasonally appropriate. Sit back, enjoy, and then donate at https://lnkd.in/e7Z8X7Xq.

All donors will be credited on future tracks, and I WILL be taking requests! (Enthusiasm levels will vary according to donation amount.) So if you have a favorite tune, and the tune is sentimental and jazz, comment below.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Well this is it folks! My first ever "Bach in Movember" recording of the Prelude and Fugue 15, in the sunny key of G major, from Bach's second book of the Well-Tempered Clavier.

10 days to go, folks! In this short episode I homilize briefly on the topic of public radio fund drives in order to plead with you--my kind and generous followers plus unsuspecting members of my LinkedIn network--to donate to my Movember campaign.

My friend was not a man but was a girl with cancer. We went to one school; we planned future together and we moved forward. When she told me 3 weeks ago that she has no time left I did not know what I should do. The first thing was trying to get visa as someone who doesn't have Canadian passport yet. I wrote to every embassy. I tried to accelerate the process but did not work. My friend Mahgol https://se.linkedin.com/in/mahgolamin left me today forever and I am late because of my nationality. I am late cause I did not have visa. I am late because I am Iranian

At the end of week one this Movember, there is growth on my face, progress on the piece, and a t-shirt befitting the moment.
