He left the Renfrew area when he was 23 and moved to Waterloo and began an automotive apprenticeship. There Randy worked at a garage until he had a bad car accident and with a long recovery, soon Randy found he could not stand on his legs. After a long recovery and gaining the use of his legs back he got a job as a parts rep for a company out of Toronto. The job took him all ov

12 Talks Done of my “30 Talks in 30 Days - Movember Does Mental Health” campaign.
Thank you to those who have helped me get the connections to get into the various schools, businesses and community groups.
I am so appreciative of the feedback I’m receiving from my presentations. With your help , we are decreasing the “stigma” and fear that often surrounds talking about Mental Illness, and we are “normalizing” the conversation about how the brain works, how it gets stuck (Anxiety, Depression, etc), how to get it unstuck...and better yet, how not to get stuck in the first place!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Daniel Goodland: I walked 4 km

#Movember2019 day 6... I over did it today. Walked out to the all season hotdog stand with Luke (coworker). Google maps says the walk was 4km, and when we got back my head was spinning, and I was overwhelmed with exhaustion... lesson learned! #MSsucks but it won’t stop me, I’ll just stick to shorter walks.

#Movember2019 day 5... I walked through Steckle Woods again... got a bit lost - so walked farther than usual. But I did well! I had my can with me just in case... but I did well.

Daniel Goodland: Work around home - PLUS a night time 2km walk... 4.5 km

#Movember2019 Day 3... After a very Long busy day doing home chores, dismatling a desk, and building the new one... Then to make it "real" I got out for in the chilly night for my 2k official walk. I am still counting the distance it gave me running around my home while I was working! :P (you can see how wiped out I got in the pic)

This was mostly all indoors... in terms of effort - I am sure it was more... It was over 1 km inside IKEA! plus other stores through the day... I was left so sore and tired that I slept through Saturday night straight to Sunday morning.

It was a chilly day 1!! I spotted a Red Crested Woodpecker on my walk through the woodlot at Bleams & Homer... ... the good news is my MS is in a good amount of remission! This makes walking a bit easier - no cane! but - wow do I get tired fast! So I would argue that my 2km is the same as a healthy persons 5km lol ... I am slowed down - not stopped!!

I really hope I beat my goal by a lot! Double in fact! we'll see though. :)
