Paul Constantinou: swimming 1000 m00:18:34

So, for my last swim I really went for it. I initially set a goal to break 19:30 for 1 km, but on the way in I decided to try and really go for it and break 19:00. I crushed that and almost broke 18:30....but I also almost drowned in the process, so I can't say I'll be trying that again on Monday :) Pretty happy with my final results of 16 km of swimming, and with the help of team IMAX meeting my fundraising target. See y'all next year! Be safe and healthy until then.

Paul Constantinou: swimming 1000 m00:19:31

I'm glad this month is almost over...I started targetting 650m/day at the end of my workout, now I'm at 1km....if it went on much longer I'd be doing a triathlon swim each morning and I don't have time for that :)

My new goal is to break 19:30 for 1 km by Friday. Almost did it today.

I had 1 km to go to reach my goal, and decided today would be the day. To motivate me to finish the goal today I put on a playlist of my favorite musicians.

My swim started out listening to two of my musical heroes, Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain. Its kind of fitting that I reached my month goal today listening to them because both of these tortured souls battled with depression, despite being adored by millions. Both of them passed before their time by their own hand (unless you subscribe to the Courtney Love conspiracy theory that is....)

RIP Kurt and Chris....

Was a bit lazy today and took a few rests between sets. it's crunch time, 1km of swimming to go!

I gave myself a challenge today to see if I could break 15 min for the 30 lengths, and to my surprise I did it. guess I wasn't working hard enough all month....

Today's playlist included A Perfect Circle, Tool and Men at Work. never have anything else to say so keep listing the music I listened to...

I kind of cheated today....pool was closed and being treated with chemicals (and it wasn't me that peed in it, I swear.....). So, instead of swimming I added some extra stair climbing to my workout today....not sure how to quantify the distance, but I did 26 flights of stairs. Felt about as much work as the swimming so I called it even and logged it as swimming distance so it wouldn't mess up the running total.
