My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

For the last 10 years, I have participated (mostly) each year and grew a moustache to raise money for Men's health as part of this cause. So far I have raised over $5300.
It all started when a hockey teammate was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. That was my first exposure to that disease and the fact that 1 in 9 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Then our family was affected by cancer and the mental health effects hit as well.
So as Movember broadened their focus for fundraising, it still felt very impactful for me and our family.
