My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

This year marks my 16th Movember, and together, we’ve raised $18,388 to support men’s health. I’m deeply grateful for every person who has stood with me. This year, I am aiming to reach $20,000 raised in total — a number that represents far more than dollars. It represents time, understanding, and survival.

I don’t participate in Movember in the abstract. I do it for very real reasons.

My father lived five additional years because of ongoing advancements in prostate cancer treatment — five years filled with moments our family would never have had otherwise. I can’t put a price on that.

I have lived with anxiety and panic disorder since I was a teenager. I spent years believing I needed to hide it — that being silent was being strong. I now know silence is what breaks us, not what saves us.

I’ve battled depression. I’ve had days where I wasn’t sure I wanted to be here. Those are not easy words to write, but they are true — and they matter.

And after our baby boy died, I moved through some of the darkest hours of my life convincing myself that supporting my family meant not acknowledging my own pain. I learned the hardest way that men can break, too — and that we must allow ourselves to be cared for, not just be the caretakers.

So when I ask for your support this year, it’s not symbolic.

It’s for:
• The father who wants more time with the children that look up to him.
• The teenage boy who feels scared and alone and thinks no one would understand.
• The grieving parent who believes that “being strong” means suffering silently.
• And it’s for me — and every man like me — working every day to stay here, stay present, and make a difference.

If you’ve supported me before: thank you.
If you can support me again: thank you.
If you can share my page, speak openly, or check in on someone you care about: thank you.

This is how we change things. One conversation. One life. One man at a time.

With gratitude.

You’re braver than you know! If you keep stepping out of your comfort zone and speaking for mental health, I will keep supporting you.

I hope you know how much your posts and your story help me when I need to know I’m not alone.
