My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

Throughout the years I have struggled with my own mental health and watched others close to me struggle. At first, I didn't understand the emotions and anxious energy I felt, but I am now in a place where I work with my emotions and energy and never against them.
Having been diagnosed with Type C Cluster Personality Disorder a few years back, I have found peace in owning my struggles and being open about my mental health. Since doing so, I have noticed a change in my mood, behaviour, and relationships with others.
I encourage anyone struggling with mental health to own it and reach out so we can embrace the struggle together. The quicker we all do this, the quicker we can all get that energy out in the open and figure out how best to deal with it.
There is no right or wrong answer to dealing with mental health, but a problem shared is a problem halved, and I know if I had the support from others when I needed it, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as hard.
I look forward to participating in this Movember with my team here at Hiive compared to previous years on my own - I am excited to join like-minded people in changing the stigma around men's mental and physical health.
