My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

It's really hard to believe that 2 1/2 years have gone by since I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, that is a fairly common head and neck cancer among men and women. I was very promptly treated by the BC Cancer agency using chemotherapy and radiation and in September of 2020 I was told my cancer is gone. I'm being followed up for about another 2 1/2 years and at the end of that I'll have the status of being a cancer survivor.
There's a different story for my younger brother, then my younger sister and for my father, as well. Although none of those people in my family dealt with the cancers that Movember is targeting, none of those three people survived their bout with cancer.
This year, I'm continuing to support Movember because I like what they're working for. They focus on men's health, and deal specifically with testicular and prostate cancers as well as men's mental health.
Once again this year, I'm dedicating my participation to my mom, for all she's been through as a result of being surrounded by cancers for a lot of her life.

Thank-you for your commitment and support.

We've now arrived at Movember 30 and everyone in this challenge should pause for a moment to reflect on an amazing job done, what can only be described as an epic 'stache and an impressive commitment to help change the face of men's health.

As Mo season is coming to a close, I want to flag that the leaderboards will officially close on Thursday, December 7th at 5 pm EST, marking the moment we crown our 2023 Movember champions of each challenge. While donations can still be received after this time, please note that they won't contribute to the leaderboard race.

Thanks for all you have done this year and will continue to do as we move forward.
