My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

I initially joined the Movember movement years ago in support of Prostate cancer awareness and research. In recent years I am equally impressed and supportive of the work of the Movember Foundation in support of Men’s Mental Health.

Three out of every four suicides in Canada are males. Boys are told to not show their emotions - we need to stop the STIGMA and start the conversation.

The prevalence of prostate cancer in my family necessitated early screening, and I have been going in for a physical examination since I turned forty. Sadly, Covid interrupted the ability to schedule annual physicals the past few years, but I had a date with my GP today. Early detection can be a life-saver, so if you have Prostate cancer in your family, they suggest physical exams starting at age 40, otherwise you should look to making a date with your GP by age 50.
