Mental health and suicide prevention is something that's always been close to my heart. I've lost too much to mental illnesses; family, friends, almost even myself, and it's a hell I wouldn't wish on anyone. The masculinity ideaology is toxic and I've seen too many men scared to reach out because they thought it made them weak. Even if you can't help monetarily, help by reaching out. Coming from a survivor, the best thing you can do is let others know you're there for them. If you're reading this and are contemplating donating, donate if you want, but if you don't, here's a challenge for you instead: reach out to someone new, let them know you're there and that they can talk to you openly. Rich or poor, you can help with just your words.
