Born of the Sun
They say the dragon never sleeps he stalks his prey in silence cold
And when he strikes what evil fire in his venom
One day this snake in careless greed dare seized a night ‘Born of the Sun’
The bite burned deep-right to the soul
The snake held fast-damage done but death could not win
For though the fire had pierced him through ‘Knight Born of the Sun’ held strong and true
The fever broke the serpent fled one limb his prize
The Knight rose up these words he spoke
You’ve broken my body but not my spirit!
I will not mourn nor will I fear it
Beware dread beast you have not won this battle
My quest has just begun

The Importance of the Annual Physical & 'Check-ups from the Neck-Up’

Q. Can PTSD be cured completely?

A. PTSD; Injury or Disease, there is no cure.

‘Like most mental illnesses, PTS is not strictly curable. This condition is caused by trauma, and causes serious symptoms that make normal functioning challenging or impossible. Treatment with special types of therapy, and sometimes medication, can
make a big difference, but it is not a cure’.

Despite the latency period for depression; my treatment commenced prior to further morbidity, and I’m grateful to be on a majestic PTS Growth Journey.

The Holistic Psychologist - Addiction
"There is such shame around addiction because of lack of understanding it. Addiction is a normal response to nervous system dysregulation. It’s an attempt to cope. An attempt to escape the torture that comes from not feeling safe in our own bodies.

At the core of addiction we are either trying to avoid an emotion or to feel an emotion. The cycles of shame, the quest for the next burst of relief, + the excitement of unpredictability are present. For many it’s the only way to feel anything. Anything at all".

You never know when you will be confronted with that awful "C" word. Take the first step. Get checked regularly and or annually. If you're a whimp, pay the $35.00 or so for the PSA test, money well spent. If you're thrifty like me, digital exams are free :)
