20 years ago, Movember started a men’s health movement.

We listened to what men had to say. And we prioritised funding to three of the biggest health issues affecting men: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

What started with 30 Mo Bros in Melbourne, Australia has grown to a headcount of over 6 million around the world. And that includes our incredible community of supporters in Quebec. You’ve helped to make this journey possible.

You’ve been showing up since 2007. Growing Mo’s, starting conversations and raising life-changing funds – a staggering $20 million over the last 16 years.

These funds have fuelled more than 1,300 projects around the world, 300 in Canada, and 85 programs that have been or are currently active in Quebec.

As the leading global men’s health charity, we’ve spent over 18 years deep in prostate cancer research and resources. We’ve brought together the best minds in the world to tackle the biggest problems in prostate cancer and transform standards of care for men. And we’ve done it right here in this province. At least $16,358,839 has been invested into 80 biomedical prostate cancer programs across Quebec.

In September of this year, Movember announced over $5 million of new investments in prostate cancer research and programs in Canada, aimed at reducing the number of men whose disease becomes incurable and delivering more consistent and improved personalised care to reduce variation in prostate cancer treatment and outcomes. Researchers from the Université de Montréal and the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ) are amongst the recipients of this funding.

We’ve made huge strides. And we couldn’t have done any of it without your support. But there’s still a long way to go. Because until prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide stop impacting the lives of men and everyone around them – we’re not stopping.

Join us. Learn more about how to get involved and raise these life-changing funds.
