My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

14 years ago I started fundraising for Movember because I thought it would be fun to make moustache cupcakes for donations. I was focused on baking at the time and felt it would be a great way for my current hobby to do something good for a great cause.

Knowing that for many men taking care of their physical and mental health was something they struggled with I wanted to create awareness for regular health checks and help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.

Little did I know when I started that my motivation to fundraise would change as the years went on.

December 2016 I lost a friend to suicide. He is missed and on my mind every time I enlist to fundraise for Movember.

This year I also dedicate my campaign to a family member who was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.

My page is also acting as the fundraising page for a friend to direct his requests for donations. He wanted to grow a Mo and raise some funds in honour of his buddy who had recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
