My motivation

Welcome to the Gary Select-a-Cut.
It’s Simple: Help me pick a different hair style by donating to the “Cut” of your choice.

Why I am raising money?

The pandemic happened. What was my biggest accomplishment? (Besides the super focused time as a husband and father....) I didn’t cut my hair. Not once. Not since February 2020. I went from a relatively conservative hair style to one that gets me compared to rockers and hippies. I became a hair farmer. Now I feel blessed that at this point in my life I seem to have avoided the follicle challenges of my Dad, Brother, Uncles and Cousins, that I have been able to experience what long hair is. But it’s time to return to normal. I am done with this “New Normal”. It is time for a manageable hair style. The biggest reason: Long Hair is a lot of work! I have gained so much respect for my wife and womankind all over the world that decide to have long hair. Even the excuse “I am going to stay home on Saturday night because I need to wash my hair” makes sense now.

I have always said when I cut my hair I am not going to let it go to waste and that is why you are reading this. I would like to use this as a reason to raise some money and what better charity than a hairy one! I have participated in Movember in the past and believe that they do a good job in raising both awareness and research for Men’s Health.

Donations end on July 24th. We will determine what hair I go with and for how long.

Rules:
• Goal of $10,000.

• Highest grossing style is the hair cut I get.

• Time for that haircut will be determined by amount donated to the winning hairstyle*:

◦ $1,000 = 2 weeks
◦ $2,500 = 1 month
◦ $5,000 = 3 months
◦ $10,000 = 5 months
• If one person donates $10,000 they get to cut my hair..in the style of their choice.*

*How long I keep it will ultimately be determined by employ-ability: Life happens, sometimes we have to role with and I don’t want anybody to be upset if something happens and I have to change*
