My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Unfortunately a lot of men are expected to be "tough," often hiding their true feelings behind a "macho mask." They fear looking weak. They don't even know what their true feelings are, unable to feel something and be able to identify what that feeling is. Is it sadness, happiness, anger, fear? A lot of this is due to how men are raised, taught to be tough, to not cry, to be strong and fearless. This causes mental health issues in men, men bottle things up, scared to talk about how they really feel or even they don't know HOW to talk about their feelings. Unfortunately, this can lead to many things, self-harm, addictions and even death by suicide.

I'm doing Movember for these men, I was one of them too, I'm lucky enough to be able to identify my feelings, and I am happy to admit my flaws and weaknesses. I'm not someone who hides behind a "macho mask."
