For 2021:
This year is a little different. This year, @movember is hitting a little harder.

We have all been through a lot, the pandemic has really taken its toll on us. On top of being isolated for another year, life still happens.

Over the last year, my family and I have been through more than we thought we could handle. Heart break after heart break. My wife and I lost 2 pregnancies, and both of us lost a grandfather. When tragedy strikes, you wonder if the pain will ever go away. I am so grateful to have support from family and friends, but not all of us are so lucky.

Some of us don’t have family or friends open to discuss tear jerking topics. Some people find it hard to open up and really feel their feelings.

And that’s why we have @movember.

From something as simple as this post, allowing others to see that it’s ok to not be ok. To allow discussions to happen, because all we need is someone to listen.

Most people associate @movember with prostate cancer, which is still important, but the movement also focuses on mental health as well. I’ve emphasized mental health because it hits close to home right now. I’ve been there and back. I’ve seen death, but I’ve also seen life. I’ve seen the light at the end of the tunnel. There’s too much to live for to stay quiet and keep your “burden” to yourself.

I just want to start a conversation. If you can’t donate, share this post, spread the word. And when it comes down to it, don’t be afraid to let your walls down, and open up. You’ll be surprised how many of us need it.

Globally, more than 1.4 million men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year.

Unfortunately, one of those men happens to be my father. My dad, Andrew Hale, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January 2018. Since then, things are looking to be okay, and the cancer is in remission - thankfully.
This is not the case for some... unfortunately, men do die from this disease and men with a family history are 2.5 times more likely to get prostate cancer as well.

This is why I teamed up with The Movember Foundation to raise awareness and funds to help researchers find a cure to destroy cancer and help those with mental health challenges too!

The Movember Foundation is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030.

Let's move in the right direction!! Let's take a stand against cancer and talk about mental health!!

Grow your Mo in support. If you cant grow a Mo, draw one on and take a picture, share it on your social media page, I dare you ;)
