My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

1 in 7 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. In January 2019, my father-in-law, Doug Ransom, was one of those men. He had his prostate removed in March, and battled through 33 days of radiation in July & August. Happy to report that things are looking good for Doug, but he'll require two more years of Androgen Deprivation Therapy and continue to live with the serious side of effects of the surgery.

As a 10 year mo bro I thought I knew what this was all about. But I learned so much through this process about Prostate Cancer & treatments, but more importantly I learned about strength & resilience. Doug continued to be the ultimate family man, never missing an opportunity to be a supportive son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. In fact, he encouraged his brother to get his PSA tested as well, which ultimately resulted in a prostate removal. Doug was by his side as he fought through the same cancer & same surgery in the same year.

Movember is working hard at encouraging & educating men to know the signs, symptoms and risk factors for prostate cancer. I will do the same by raising funds and awareness in support of men's health for my 10th year in a row. Help me stop men dying too young.
