My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

This is my 12th year doing Movember and it's something that I support because I believe we need to bring awareness to all types of issues surrounding men's health. This is more than just about prostate cancer, it’s about men’s overall health, both physically and mentally! I’m doing this for my two sons.

Men account for 3 out of 4 suicides, and suicide is the second leading cause of death among Canadian men aged 15-44.

1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.

And testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young Canadian men.

25,500 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year in Canada

It’s December 1st and I’ve still got my Mo. Tomorrow (Sat Dec 2) I’ll be doing my #burpees at Just Fitness at 11:30am and I’m still accepting donation to add to my suffering for the cause. To date I’m at $825, which means 165 Burpees. Donate to the cause and come to the gym tomorrow to cheer me on, mock me and/or watch me suffer. http://mobro.co/canadianfitdad #movember #justfitnessyk #yellowknife #YZF #Health #mentalhealth #fuckcancer #fitdad

This is my 9th year doing Movember and it's something that I support because I believe we need to bring awareness to all types of issues surrounding men's health. I wasn't going to do Movember this year, but I looked at my two sons last night and decided I needed to do this for them! This is more than just about prostate cancer, it’s about men’s overall health, both physically and mentally!

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there.

To show my commitment, for every $5 donated to my campaign, I will do 1 burpee. $1,000 = 200 Burpees. I don’t mind suffering for the cause!
