My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

This year we're Made in Movember, bringing it back to men of action - the doers, the makers, the growers of world-changing moustaches. We are Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, locally grown, nationally known, changing the face of me. The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men's health, so this Movember I'm getting on board. I'm raising funds to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health. Help me stop men dying too young.

No two nuts are exactly the same. Neither are two experiences with testicular cancer. Still, the journey can have pretty routine stops along the way.

Movember looks at mental health through a male lens, focusing on prevention, early intervention and health promotion.
We’re working towards a world where men take action to be mentally well, and are supported by those around them.

Testicular cancer is the #1 cancer in younger guys. But good news: it's highly curable when caught early.

Learn how to give your nuts a feel and get to know what's normal for you. So if you notice a change — or that something doesn't feel right — you'll know to act on it.

We all have men in our lives that love to talk. About the good ol’ days. About that never-ending backyard project (any year now, right?). About something that drives them nuts. Yet some things don’t get talked about enough. Like prostate cancer.

It’s time to get talking about your risks.

It is Movember’s policy that funding is not to be used for institutional expenses and 100% of the funding will be applied to research, health services interventions and their evaluation. So, for those Mo's that helped this year, a great and wonderful THANK YOU!

In Canada, Movember is the largest funder of research focused on translating laboratory findings into new prostate cancer treatment options and the second largest funder of overall projects relating to prostate cancer research, having invested over $107 million since 2008.

And it doesn’t stop there all thanks to your support. Movember is announcing four new prostate cancer research programs, with a Canadian funding investment of $5.8M CAD, aimed at reducing the number of men whose disease becomes incurable and delivering more consistent and improved personalized care to reduce variation in prostate cancer treatment and outcomes.

Across Canada, there are more than 217,000 men living with and beyond prostate cancer. Many are dealing with serious side effects from treatment.

IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS.
SO WE’RE TAKING ACTION.

We’ve spent years immersed in prostate cancer research, and in that time, we’ve pushed progress forward 50 years. How? By thinking differently, collaborating globally and investing quickly in what works.
