My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

This year we're Made in Movember, bringing it back to men of action - the doers, the makers, the growers of world-changing moustaches. We are Mo Bros and Mo Sistas, locally grown, nationally known, changing the face of me. The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men's health, so this Movember I'm getting on board. I'm raising funds to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health. Help me stop men dying too young.

It is Movember’s policy that funding is not to be used for institutional expenses and 100% of the funding will be applied to research, health services interventions and their evaluation. So, for those Mo's that helped this year, a great and wonderful THANK YOU!

In Canada, Movember is the largest funder of research focused on translating laboratory findings into new prostate cancer treatment options and the second largest funder of overall projects relating to prostate cancer research, having invested over $107 million since 2008.

And it doesn’t stop there all thanks to your support. Movember is announcing four new prostate cancer research programs, with a Canadian funding investment of $5.8M CAD, aimed at reducing the number of men whose disease becomes incurable and delivering more consistent and improved personalized care to reduce variation in prostate cancer treatment and outcomes.

Across Canada, there are more than 217,000 men living with and beyond prostate cancer. Many are dealing with serious side effects from treatment.

IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS.
SO WE’RE TAKING ACTION.

We’ve spent years immersed in prostate cancer research, and in that time, we’ve pushed progress forward 50 years. How? By thinking differently, collaborating globally and investing quickly in what works.

We exist to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives – this is what drives every single one of our 1,250 men’s health projects.

In everything we do, we strive to be transparent and accountable. We report thoroughly on each project so that our Mo Bros and Mo Sisters can see how their support is changing the lives of men around the world.

Any time men's health moves forward, there's a good chance The Order of Mo is behind it. We're talking breakthrough science as well as subtle shifts in culture, like making it normal for more men to open up.

Like men talking more about how they feel. And breakthrough tests and treatments for prostate and testicular cancers. That didn't happen alone. It happened thanks to individuals like you, and teams like Me Ray Doe - Solo Mo. All members of our not-so-secret, society of movers, growers and party-throwers.

No one knows where the call comes from. They simply hear it, answer it, then move towards it. A magnetic pull, a mysterious itch on the upper lip, a wholly consuming compulsion to call back: “Yes! Count me in!” You know it because you’ve heard it. You’re a seasoned Mo pro. And you’re ready to go again. Welcome back, we couldn’t be happier to have you.

It started 20 years ago as a little stubble on the face of men’s health. Today, Movember is the world’s leading men’s health organisation – a global Mo with a global focus, powered by people in every corner of the world. Twenty years strong and, thanks to you, getting stronger.

We’re approximately one week, 168 hours and 3mm of hair growth away from the end of Movember. Meaning, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and perfect your donation pitch, because you’re about to cross the hairy finish line. Take this chance to remind people why you’re doing Movember: helping raise lifesaving funds and awareness for men’s health.

73 Week(s) Ago

The finish line is in sight but we know you’re not letting up yet. There’s still one more week left to give it all you got in the name of men’s health. Remember: your hairy efforts will help fund groundbreaking work in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Now that’s something worth talking about.
