My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

My story starts in 2021 with a little lump. A lump that was there for a while that I was ignoring. My family was scared. I got lucky. It had not spread and a quick surgery had me in the clear. I wanted to share my tale with more people so I asked to take a co-worker's timeslot in an upcoming meeting. We immediately bonded because he had a similar personal story. Two survivors with incredible luck. Many people are not so fortunate.

All the while, my best friend was struggling. We talked almost every day about his personal pain and challenges. He put on a brave face and showed signs of improvement every week. It was a facade. There was a plan. Quietly and carefully prepared. Then silence. He was gone. I lost my friend to suicide in January 2022. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him.

We've now arrived at Movember 30 and everyone in this challenge should pause for a moment to reflect on an amazing job done, what can only be described as an epic 'stache and an impressive commitment to help change the face of men's health.

As Mo season is coming to a close, I want to flag that the leaderboards will officially close on Thursday, December 7th at 5 pm EST, marking the moment we crown our 2023 Movember champions of each challenge. While donations can still be received after this time, please note that they won't contribute to the leaderboard race.
