My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Mental health and suicide prevention

Too many men are dying too young.

Across the world, three out of four suicides are men. Every minute, we lose one man to suicide. In Canada, men account for more than 75% of suicides. It’s the second leading cause of death for men aged 15 to 44.

And for LGBTQIA+ people, the risk of suicidal thoughts or attempts is up to four times higher than for heterosexual people.

This one hits close to home. I’ve seen the impact of men’s mental health struggles in my own life, and I now have the privilege of working for Movember, an organization that’s truly changing and saving lives.

Movember’s goal is to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030. To make sure every man, regardless of who he is or where he lives, can access the support he needs.

So this November, I’m growing a Mo (and maybe doing something ridiculous along the way) to help get us there.
