My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Look, we gotta talk about men. Sometimes it's easy for us to ignore our problems and let things go unchecked. Sometimes we get so caught up in what's going on around us that we forget to stop and look at what's going on inside.

Cancer hurts us all. Men have a one in two chance of being diagnosed with cancer in our lifetimes. That's a coin flip with huge consequences. In 2024, almost 30,000 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer alone - that's 76 men diagnosed a day. 76 men EACH DAY whose lives are changed forever. Cancer fucking sucks.

On top of that, by not talking about issues or by saying that something won't affect us because we're somehow different, we increase the mental load on ourselves - that's baggage we carry every day that weighs on us, and drags us down. But know that you're not alone! With billions of people on earth, even if no one else has gone through exactly what you've gone through, maybe someone near you is going through something similar! It can still be helpful just to talk things out! Don't let what you're feeling inside build and build - talk about it! You're not alone - there are always people around you who care about you and want you to succeed. Let's succeed together.

Don't forget to rub your nuts (for cancer)!

Another year gone, another Movember past!

Cancer is something that affects everyone in some way at some point in their lives. Whether it's a parent, a sibling, a friend, or even yourself, cancer doesn't discriminate. You don't know who will have it in their lifetime, but it'll happen.

The one thing we do know is that, with the help of all those that donate, or discuss, or support in your own ways, science has come a long long way.

Early detection means increases in survival rates so that families can stay together longer. Improvements in treatments mean that folks can feel like themselves while they undertake one of the biggest challenges they'll ever face. Improvements in support structures mean that those undergoing lifesaving care have tools to improve their quality of recovery with less worry about how they'll afford their life saving prescriptions.

That's all possible because of your support, your helping hand in making sure everyone has a fighting chance against this silent ghost. A mustache isn't just a mustache, it's a declaration; that with your support, we can beat anything!

Wow!! A month later and we've raised so much!!! Thank you all very much for your generosity in helping to kick cancer's butt!! As a little celebration, the stache has gone pink - thank you all so so much again for your support. Here's a photo from behind the scenes just for you folks!!!

$450 is a huge number that can really make a difference, but we still have two more days - can we make it $500??

It's been a big month so far!! I've been focusing real hard on my stache this whole month tryna get it to grow in this specific area and it looks like it's working!!! Let's finish this month strong, one last push to the finish line!!
