My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

For a big part of my life, I struggled in silence.

I used my body badly, ignored my mind, and leaned on addiction to numb pain I didn’t know how to handle. On the outside I looked “fine.” Inside, I was screaming for help.

I support Movember because I want people to know they’re not alone, and that it matters not what people think. I want help to be easier to find and easier to ask for. No one should have to fight this battle in the dark, or feel ashamed for needing support.

We all have a story.
We all go through hard seasons.

Speaking up about that doesn’t make you weak. It breaks down walls. It lets people in. And when one person has the strength to tell the truth about what they’ve been through, it makes it easier for the next person to speak by creating a safe place to do so.

November has become one of my favourite months of the year. Five years ago I quit drinking, smoking, and caffeine. Movember gave me an outlet for my newfound energy — spent on training, fundraising, and talking honestly about men’s health.

I’ve met some incredible people through this movement, and I’m grateful to be part of the team.

My only wish is that my friend Ryan was here to do this with me. #8
