*UPDATE: I am devastated to announce my dear father David Gwynnedd Owen passed away from cancer early on the morning of November 8. My previous motivation introduction was written on Oct 31 while my dad was still eligible for a miracle. PLEASE get tested often and advocate tirelessly to the medical system for yourself and for those you love.

Three months ago my dad started to fail. This was a 76 year old man who was in better shape than me, a man who only recently was running 5 to 10 kms. I will also be challenging myself to do ALL the 10,000 step days, regular gym, no booze and try my hardest to lose as many lbs as possible.

Thank you for reading, and peace and strength to all of you.

Donate to my fundraiser via https://movember.com/m/14451954?mc=74 I am absolutely heartbroken to tell the Mo community that my father passed away yesterday morning in the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops from cancer. Only months ago he was hiking with his visiting Kiwi brother in the Rockies, and only five weeks ago he and I were planning a camping trip. This was a strong, healthy man who had his life snuffed out in an instant from a very aggressive cancer that was not diagnosed when, in my opinion, it should have been. If you are reading this, please get tested often and advocate tirelessly to the medical system for yourself and for all of your loved ones.
