My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

This year, I’m participating in Movember to raise both funds and awareness for men’s health. Having survived two battles with cancer (beginning with testicular cancer), it’s a cause that hits close to home, to say the least.

When I was 26, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. My two battles with cancer included both a surgery and subsequent chemotherapy, both at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto. I recently received my 3 year “all clear” from my doctor and want to try and give back or pay it forward, to honour all those who supported my battles.

I’ve never been shy about my story and my journey and I hope participating in Movember helps to not only raise funds, but also to raise awareness and further normalize these conversations.

I recognize this is not an easy time financially for many of us, and donating to charity might not be as easy or feasible right now. I completely understand if you can’t donate. Instead: I’m just as happy if you pass my profile along to others, comfort me when I’m (inevitably) feeling self conscious, educate yourself about these topics, or just give me a like or comment along the way.
