Testicular cancer

3-Time Testicular Cancer Survivor!

At the start of 2023, I celebrated being cancer-free, but that victory was short-lived. In November, I found a suspicious lump, and a follow-up ultrasound in January confirmed another lesion on my second testicle. I opted for a partial orchiectomy to preserve as much of my testicle as possible, hoping to maintain natural testosterone and sperm production.

Fast forward to August, another routine ultrasound revealed a new suspicious lesion. While there was an option to perform another partial orchiectomy, this time they found a germ cell—an early sign of cancer. Given the high risk of recurrence, I made the difficult decision to remove the remaining portion of my testicle.

This life-changing surgery meant I could no longer produce sperm or testosterone naturally. But I started testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), and I feel incredible—more energized and healthier than ever.

My journey has taught me the importance of regular check-ups. You never know when cancer can strike, and I’ll always advocate for awareness and early detection. Testicular cancer is a battle I’ve faced multiple times, and I want to ensure no man faces it alone.

Man, I should have asked if the stash was for Movember! My dad had testicular cancer when I was young and had a full recovery so this cause is something near to me. I am so thankful that your story was like his! Praying for continued remission brother.
