My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

In 2019, I was a fit, healthy, and active 28 year old. I was a former competitive athlete. I've never smoked or used recreational drugs, and hadn't had a sip of alcohol since I was 22. I had no risk factors, I was in great physical condition.

In April of 2019, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of testicular cancer (actually a mix of about five different tumour types).

I was blindsided. My doctor said it was bad luck. With quick action and care from BC Cancer, I began treatment within two months. In May 2024, I was declared to be in remission.

Many men are not so lucky. Testicular cancer affects young healthy men around the world every day, often regardless of any risk factors.

This year, I will be taking part in Movember again to raise awareness and action for men's health.
