Married with three children and established in your career, with a nice house in the suburbs. You look forward to retiring in perhaps ten years and enjoying more time with your wife while you spoil your grandchildren. Life is good and you have so much to look forward.

That was my dad at age 47. Then he discovered he had prostate cancer.
He did receive treatment, but his cancer eventually came back and he ultimately died at the far too young age of 54.

When I learned about Movember I knew I was going to be a part of it. I wanted to help other families avoid the heartbreak of losing a husband, father, grandfather to this all-too-common killer.

To be honest, I don’t love wearing a moustache, but I do it every Movember because it’s a small price to pay if it gives me a chance to ask others to support this cause.

I know that I’m not alone with my father’s story…many of you have been or will be touched in similar ways. I would like to encourage everyone to grow a moustache (or support a Mo!) and raise funds in support of Movember, and know that you are doing something great for the future of men’s health.
