Ma motivation

I am again going to participate in Movember for the fathers, partners, brothers, sons and friends in my life - to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

I do it because around the world, men are dying too young.

I do it because in Canada, men die 4 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.

I do it because 3 out of 4 suicides are men. Suicide is the second highest cause of death among Canadian men aged 15-44.

I do it because 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.

I do it because testicular cancer is the #1 cancer among young men. But when it’s diagnosed and treated early, there’s a high chance you’ll come out the other side.
