It’s hard to know where to start, so we’ll just jump straight in and share with you some of the highlights from Moustache Season 2011. There were over 256,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sista, almost 1,000,000 Tweets and almost 900,000 picture uploads. We’ve had to be strict with ourselves as there was so much Mo love shown in Canada and around the world but we’d love it if you left us a comment at the end sharing with us your favourite Mo-ment from this year.

HE SHOOTS HE MO’S!
This year we were lucky to have players from all Canadian NHL teams growing and spreading the men’s health message. Watching players on the ice as they go Mo to Mo with other Mo Bros was quite the sight. Especially because they were watched over by Mo’d referees! At the beginning of this year’s Moustache Season in Canada we watched as iconic Maple Leaf and moustache wearer Wendel Clark shaved off for a clean face to start the month. Wendel also led the MOple Leafs Network, nice work Wendel, may the Mo be with you.

SNOOP DOGG – DROP IT LIKE A MO
No introduction was needed when Mr. Snoop Dogg got lyrical for Movember. The Dogg Father himself collaborated on an exclusive Snoop/Lancaster tee for Movember – with 20% of funds coming straight back to Movember. In addition, because of Snoop’s support, for the month of Movember Lancaster Ltd also donated 20% of any and all items purchased from Lancaster’s online store to Movember. Thanks Snoop, thanks Lancaster. Way to drop it like it’s hot.

MAYORAL MO LOVERS
This year cities all across Canada from Halifax to Victoria proclaimed November officially Movember.  Mayors made these announcements in honour of the brave men and women growing and supporting Movember and men’s health. Cities that made mayoral proclamations include Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax and Ajax. Thank you citizens of Movember. Roam proud.

SHEAR THE BEARD
This year beards all around the world trembled in fear as the father of all beardos, Canadian Flanker Adam Kleeberger prepared to shear the beard in preparation for a Movember moustache. This is a beard that had been renown across the globe for the way it turned a Canadian rugby player into a cave man – like force of a flanker. Kleeberger keep it through the 2011 Rugby World cup until one chilly day in Victoria when he barefaced for Movember and started his moustache journey for the year. Thanks Adam.

OUR AMBASSADORS
Each year, we’re fortunate enough to be supported by well-known faces (and Mo’s) who share our appreciation of the Mo and commitment to making a difference to men’s health. These fine ladies and men come from all walks of life; sport, TV, the music industry, politics and the business world. They support us in a number of ways, whether it be growing a Mo, attending events, or giving us a shout out on Facebook. Their collective efforts have a huge impact on the campaign and we’re very proud and humbled to have had so many recognisable faces supporting us during Moustache Season in 2011.

Along with support from Olivia Chow, The Sheepdogs , Adam Kleeberger, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, The Barenaked Ladies, Justin Trudeau, Jay Onrait, Dan O’Toole, Gino Reda, Cabral Richards, Justin Kripps, Brian Stemmel, Brett Wilson, Rick Mercer, and more. Thank you for coming along for the journey.

WELL KNOWN FACES FROM AROUND THE WORLD
The support we receive doesn’t just come from Canada, this year we had a fine crop of supporters from around the world. They support us in a number of ways, whether it be growing a Mo, attending events, or giving us a shout out on Facebook or Twitter to their millions of followers. Their collective efforts have a huge impact on the campaign and we’re very proud and humbled to have had so many recognisable faces supporting us during Moustache Season in 2011. Just take a look at a few of the names who helped us spread the Movember message around the world this year – it reads like an entry in Who’s Who - Stephen Fry, Kevin Connolly, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Morgan Spurlock, Richie McCaw, Lance Armstrong, Malin Akerman, Brody Jenner, Foster the People, Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Barbie, Justin Beiber and Ricky Gervais.

The above is just a taster of some of the amazing Mo love that was shown across the country, and the world. We’re hugely grateful for all the support that was shown. We can’t wait to do it all again this year! Thank you to everyone who has come on board this year and helped us, once again, to achieve our most successful year to date.

We’re into December now so if you’re looking for a tip of what to do next Rick Mercer has a couple ideas. Thanks Rick, Thanks Citizens of Movember.
