The media pressure women face around body image is well known, but what about men? We need to begin to challenge the masculine stereotypes that appear throughout TV, film, magazine and online.

We’re proud to announce the launch of M.bodiment, a project created by Egale Canada Human Rights Trust's funded by the Movember Foundation.

This new online hub contains content that looks to help undress the body image stigmas currently prevalent within the LGBT community. It features individuals dis-robing until completely nude on camera while speaking about their own experiences with masculinity. The video series offers a personal perspective of what it can be like growing up gay or trans, and the issues that an individual may face.

The goal with this Movember Foundation funded project is to open a dialogue about gay, bi, trans, and queer men’s body image and it’s health implications.

Egale’s vision is for our country to free of homophobia, biphobia, transphobia and all other forms of discrimination, so that every person can achieve their full potential, free of hatred and bias. We’re proud to be apart of making that a reality.

Please note, the website itself features mature content, which includes nudity.
