The Movember Energy Sector Ambassador Program is officially open for applications.

Do you have the confidence and a burning desire to do some good in the world?

Do you thrive on challenges and believe in the strength of community within Canada’s Energy Sector?

If so, Movember has the perfect opportunity for you!

We’re looking for dedicated Energy Sector Ambassadors—men and women alike—to get involved and make a difference this Movember. Whether you’re working in Calgary’s office towers or out on the rigs in Fort McMurray, we want you!

Applications are now open.

Why Become an Energy Sector Ambassador?

In 2023, we had over 100 energy companies take part in Movember’s Oil Rig Rumble Challenge raising $1M in lifesaving funds and awareness for the 30 days of Movember. As an Energy Sector Ambassador, you’ll be joining an elite group of leaders and change makers who will be leading this effort for 2024. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead by example: Inspire your colleagues to join the cause, raise awareness, and fundraise for men’s health.
  • Expand your network: Connect with professionals across the energy sector who share your passion for making a difference.
  • Develop key skills: Gain experience in leadership, event management, and public speaking—valuable tools for your career and beyond.
  • Create lasting impact: The funds and awareness you raise will directly support Movember’s vital work in mental health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

What’s Involved?

As an Energy Sector Ambassador, your role will be to rally your workplace and the wider energy sector to take part in the Movember. Here’s how you will make a difference:

  • Be a positive role model and ambassador for men’s health in your workplace
  • Be an engaging source of men’s health info for your colleagues and those around you
  • Recruit a committee of colleagues and senior team members to take part in Movember
  • Coordinate and lead a team that raises +$2,500 for the men’s health
  • Organize and host fundraising events throughout Movember
  • Give men’s health talks in your workplace

How We’ll Support You

We don’t expect you to do this alone. As an Energy Sector Ambassador, you’ll receive:

  • In-person training: An in-person training day in Calgary on Wednesday 2nd October, or an online training session for those who can’t attend the training in person.
  • Dedicated support: You’ll have a Movember staff member on hand to guide you every step of the way. Whatever you need, we’re here to help.
  • Exclusive swag: Show your Mo pride with our Ambassador pack, including T-shirt, Movember Flag, posters and other promo gear to bring your campaign to life.

Ready to get started?

Becoming an Energy Sector Ambassador isn’t just a role—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference in your community and workplace. If you (or someone you know) are ready to lead, inspire, and make an impact, we want to hear from you.
