We're looking for people who are ready to use their experience of prostate cancer to make things better for the men and families who come after them. No medical background needed. No prior experience required. Just your story.
Movember is setting up prostate cancer Lived Experience Advisory Panels (LEAPs).
These panels will sit at the heart of our prostate cancer work. We want the people who've lived through prostate cancer as patients, partners, family members and carers to help steer that work.
If prostate cancer has touched your life in any way, we want to hear from you:
We especially want to hear from people often left out of these conversations – including diverse ethnic backgrounds, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, the LGBTQIA+ community, people in rural and remote areas, and people living with disability.
Read the full expression of interest document (PDF) for eligibility details and everything else you need to know before applying.

This isn't just a seat at the table – it comes with real support:
We want your time with us to feel good, not stressful:

Getting started is simple. Here's what happens:
Nope. Your lived experience is the whole point. Some of our best contributors have zero health or research background.
We would like to understand if you have experience in community engagement, advocacy, peer support or similar advisory and panel roles.
At this time, all panel meetings will be in English.
Absolutely. The prostate cancer community is bigger than just the men who were diagnosed. We want to hear from all of you.
Panel meetings will normally last for 1 hour with around 4-6 meetings per year. Between meetings, you may be asked to spend a couple of hours reviewing materials. We'll always be clear about what's involved before you agree to anything.
Yes. LEAP membership includes an honorarium in recognition of your time. All reasonable out-of-pocket costs are covered.
Yes, all panel meetings are held online in English.
Not at this time sorry. For this opportunity you must be a citizen or resident of Australia, Canada, the UK or the US.
Step back whenever you need to. Your health comes first, always. We'll be flexible and we won't make it awkward.
Yes. We handle all personal information in line with Movember's Privacy Policy and the law. We won't share your details without your say-so.
We'll tell you. We'll share how your input shaped our work. This is a real partnership, not us asking questions and going quiet.
Movember is the world's leading men's health charity. Since 2003, we've funded more than 1,320 men's health projects across 20+ countries.
Prostate cancer is one of our core focus areas. We fund research, build support tools and push for policy change — all aimed at better quality of life and better outcomes for men living with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
Our prostate cancer Lived Experience Advisory Panels are central to that work, putting the voices of people with lived experience at the heart of our decision-making.
