Hello all,
My name is PJ! I am going to start by saying thanks for all the on going support and I am happy to share I have officially hit 4 years with no detectable cancer on Oct 29th.

I am here to share my story and cancer journey through stage 2 testicular cancer in case it may help anyone else. My main goal is to bring awareness and more importantly to be someone that others can feel free to reach out to if they should ever have questions or need someone to talk to.

I was diagnosed with testicular cancer (Seminoma) back in the spring of 2019 and had a Radical Orchiectomy to remove my left testicle in May 2019. We continued monitoring after surgery and unfortunately, that was not the end of the cancer battle for me. In June 2020 the cancer presented again on a scan. We continued to monitor and did another scan in August and found that the lymph node had grown from 1.2cm to 1.7cm since June. I opted to try another surgery and went in for a retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (RPLND) on October 29th 2020 where I had 20 lymph nodes removed from the back of my abdomen close to my spine.

I want to say thanks to all my family, friends, doctors, nurses and everyone else who has helped and supported me with my journey so far. The support has been overwhelming and amazing! I just wanted to share my journey and work with Movember to help as many others as I can and as always encourage people to not hesitate getting checked out if they ever feel any irregularities!

Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in young men. Movember is working to halve the number of deaths from testicular cancer by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.
