Movember close. $8,815 raised with Equinix matching. 81 km moved.

Not quite 500 miles. But every step counted.

Grateful for everyone who shared, checked in, and had difficult conversations with someone who needed it. If one person booked a screening or reached out for help, it was worth it.

Typing this from a very glamorous window seat at 32,000 feet. Quick selfie to mark the finish line, then back to work.

Tech posts resume next week. The moustache retires today on a high note.

Day 30. Thirty days of showing up. For the conversations we avoid. For the check-ins we forget. For the people we love and the ones we lead.

This month taught me something. Consistency is quiet, but it compounds. Small acts of care become habits. Habits become culture. Culture saves lives.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or simply checked in on someone. Thank you to the people who reached out to me. You reminded me why this matters.

If you take one thing from this month, let it be this. The work does not end today. Keep showing up, keep checking in.

Day 29. On Day 25, you showed up. Now I'm showing up for you.

$500 matched on Day 26 on behalf of everyone who contributed to my campaign. Equinix matched it through Equinix Impact, bringing the total to $2,000.

One stat that stuck with me: 44% of men drop out of therapy early. Not because of cost. Because they didn't feel understood. Movember funded the research that uncovered this and then built Men in Mind, the first training to help practitioners actually connect with men. We asked men to change for years. The system needed to change too.

That's where the money goes.
→ Mental health and suicide prevention
→ Prostate cancer research and equitable care
→ Testicular cancer awareness and early detection

Targeted impact. Real programs. Real outcomes.

Movember Day 28. This one is personal.

This month has been about men's health. Booking appointments. Starting hard conversations. Checking in with ourselves and each other.

But we cannot talk about men's health without talking about the women in our lives.

Mothers who noticed something was off before we did. Sisters who asked the questions we avoided. Partners who scheduled the appointments we kept putting off. Friends who listened when we finally opened up.

They show up for us. They advocate for us. They carry weight we do not always see.

And they need to get checked too.

I lost my mum to colon cancer. It is one of the cancers with the highest remission rates when caught early. She put off her screening because she was taking care of my dad. By the time she went, it was too late.

That is what this post is really about. The women who care for everyone else first. Who reschedule their own appointments. Who wait.

So today, I am flipping the script. If you have been following along this month, take a moment to check in with the women in your life. Ask how they are doing. Encourage them to book that appointment. Hold space the way they have held it for you.

Men's health does not exist in isolation. It is part of a bigger picture. And the people who love us deserve the same attention we are learning to give ourselves.

Day 27. What I want him to know.

Yesterday I looked back. Today I look forward.

My dad showed me what it meant to show up. Now I get to show my son what it means to open up.

The men in my life grew up with walls. Be strong. Don't cry. Figure it out. That was the script. And it cost us. Silence doesn't protect anyone. It just delays the pain and passes it down.

I want something different for him. I want him to know that asking for help is strength. That checking in on a friend is normal. That the conversations we avoid are the ones that matter most.

Leaders go first. Not just at work. At home. With our kids. In the quiet moments that shape who they become.

This month taught me that modeling matters more than messaging. If I want him to build safe spaces, I have to show him what that looks like.

If you've followed along this month, finish strong with me. Donate. Or just start one conversation that matters.

Day 26. Community isn't built in a month. It's built over a lifetime.

My dad understood this. He spent his life showing up for the people around him. A natural connector. A quiet leader. And yes, the original Mo.

This campaign has always been about more than a moustache. It's about the conversations we avoid, the men we lose too soon, and the communities that hold us together when things fall apart.

I grew up watching a man who led by example. Who believed showing up was the whole point. That's why I show up here, every day this month.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and checked in. You've started conversations that don't happen on their own. That's community.

**Day 24. Monday after a hard week.**

I'm working from home today. First day back after one of those weeks that just lands heavy.

That's part of why this campaign matters. We talk about checking in, about awareness, about showing up for each other. But we don't always model what that looks like when we're the ones struggling.

So here's me, checking in. And here's the offer: if you need a listening ear this week, reach out. No agenda, no fix, just presence.

We've got seven days left. Let's finish by actually showing up, not just posting about it.

Movember Day 23. One week left.

The holidays are coming fast. Lists are getting longer. Schedules are getting tighter.

Take a moment today to check in with yourself. Not your to-do list. You.

How are you, really? What's one thing you've been avoiding? What conversation needs to happen before the year ends?

Men's health starts with honest self-assessment. And self-care isn't optional when the world speeds up. It's essential.

Use this Sunday to be real with yourself. Put your own well-being on the list.

Day 21. The habit is now the point. Blue glow. De-icing. 6 am heading home.

This week’s been packed — back‑to‑back meetings, late nights, and travel layered on top. The easy move would be to coast and tell myself I’ll make it up when things slow down. I’ve learned that tomorrow is often a softer no.

So I kept it simple and showed up again. Booked my annual checkup. Donated. Shared one men’s health resource with a colleague. Sent a message to a friend who’s been quiet. Small steps, repeated.

Consistency beats intensity.

If you’ve been meaning to donate, today’s the day. If you can’t donate, check in on someone who might need it. Your one action today matters more than a perfect plan tomorrow.

Day 20. In Ottawa today. Proximity matters: in policy, in infrastructure, in health.

Ottawa is a reminder that sovereignty isn’t abstract. It shows up in proximity, trust, and access.

In AI infrastructure, proximity lowers latency and cost. In men’s health, proximity to care saves lives. Both require intent from leaders.

Three practical moves:

1) Make it easy for your team to get to health appointments

2) Normalize check‑ins that go beyond performance

3) Share real resources, not slogans

If this resonates, take one step today. Check in on someone. Book your own appointment. Donate if you can → movember.com/m/sanjeevans

Day 19. Leaders don’t just set targets, they show up daily. Thirty days of Movember is a practice in accountability.

This month isn’t about a moustache. It’s about consistency in service of something bigger. Every day you either keep a promise to yourself or you don’t.

Three lessons I’m taking into my leadership practice:

1) Small daily actions compound into real change

2) Public commitment raises the bar for follow‑through

3) Accountability is contagious when modeled, not mandated

If this resonates, consider a small action today. Check in on a friend. Book a physical. Donate what you can to men’s health.

Asking for help is hard. We wait too long, we convince ourselves we should handle it alone.

But reaching out isn't weakness. It's wisdom. It's knowing the strongest thing you can do is admit you need support.

If you're struggling, tell someone. A friend. A professional. Anyone who will listen. That conversation might save your life.

Today is Remembrance Day, Day 11 of Movember.

We honor those who served and those who sacrificed. Lest we remember to also honor ourselves and each other in this moment.

It's a prompt to pause and ask yourself: How am I, really? When was the last time you asked and waited for an honest answer?

Take a breath. Reach out to a friend. Looking after your mental health isn't selfish. It's how we stay present for the people who count on us.

Day 10: The Power of Community and Creative Support

Nine days into Movember, and I'm reminded that this journey isn't just about personal challenges—it's about the incredible community that shows up along the way.

Case in point: my mo-bro Jorge Figueiredo created this amazing throwback to my Duke Caboom post from earlier this week. When I saw it, I couldn't help but smile. It's these moments of creativity, humor, and support that make this entire experience so meaningful.

This is what Movember is really about, men showing up for each other, lifting each other up, and creating spaces where we can be vulnerable, creative, and human together.

Jorge's gesture reminded me of something important, we don't have to do this alone. Whether it's mental health struggles, physical health challenges, or just navigating life's ups and downs, having people in your corner makes all the difference.

So today's message is simple: Reach out. Show up for someone. Be that person who creates something that makes someone else smile. You never know how much it might mean to them.

Big thanks to Jorge for the incredible artwork and for being an awesome mo-bro. Let's keep supporting each other through the rest of this month and beyond.
