Men’s mental health means everything to me.
Too many men are silently carrying weight no body else sees.
They feel isolated, overwhelmed, and stuck, believing they have to keep moving, stay strong, and handle everything alone.
And too often, the men who seem the loudest, funniest, or happiest are often the ones struggling the most behind closed doors.

For me, running has been a daily anchor for multiple reasons.
Running has shown me that I can keep going when things get hard and when everything else is telling me to stop. One. Step. At. A. Time.
Running has connected me with people who showed up for me when I needed it most.
Running has shown me the importance of daily habits to stay grounded in the midst of chaos and stress.
Running has given me a healthy outlet to manage stress, anxiety, and pressure.
Running has taught me that taking care of my mental health is a daily choice, not a one-time fix.
Running has reminded me that I’m not alone, even on my hardest days.
Running has helped me keep going when stopping felt easier.

I’m committing to running every day, in whatever capacity I can, for one full year, to raise awareness and funds for men’s mental health.
Some days that might look like a slow 1 km walk.
Other days, a 10 km run.
Some days, an ultra marathon.
There’s no pace requirement, no performance goal, just a commitment to show up and keep moving forward, even on the days when it would be easier not to.
Because that’s what mental health really looks like, not perfection, not strength all the time, but choosing to keep going, taking one small (and maybe uncomfortable) step forward at a time, in whatever capacity you have.

If this challenge helps even one man feel less alone, reminds him that asking for help is strength, or inspires him to take that first small step toward better mental health, then every step I take is worth it.
