Another year, another Mo.
When I first starting participating in Movember, I was doing it because mustaches are hilarious. I loved that I was raising money for a good cause, but I will admit, it was not my primary motivation.
Then my dad got sick, a man that was for all intents and purposes, in great health. There was no stopping my dad from getting cancer, that was going to happen. But what could have changed is how early it was detected, my dad was Superman, and such, was too scared to go to the doctor. He waited too long, at first it was manageable and treatable, but it came back. I won't say things could have been different but could have they been? This changed my attitude towards Movember, now I wanted to help change the conversation, I wanted men to be comfortable talking about their health. Meanwhile, I wasn't doing much to care for my health, there was always next year.

Well, 2018 is that next year for me. It has been 5 years since my Dad passed, Ashley and I are married and being active and healthy was something we wanted to do together, for each other. We have had a lot of fun going to the gym together, it hasn't always been easy, it's been expensive, but all good investments are.
