In early 2021 my big cousin, Seamus, took his own life. This was a great shock to all of my family. A unexpected wave of emotions and multiple questions beginning with 'why'. 



Having taken on many epic movember ‘mo your own way’ challenges over the years, last years was incredibly rewarding when I went from Lands Ends to John O'groats in 6 days, relying purely on strangers help!

 I couldn't buy myself any form of travel or accomodation and each stranger could only help me with 60 miles of travel at a time...

This time I'm going BIGGER again!

I'm going from Berlin to Glasgow in 14 days!

WHY?! 


I believe that as males, when we’re struggling and feeling suicidal, it can feel impossible to reach out and ask for help… we feel like a burden to everyone and that nobody will help…



That is not true.

When Seamus took his own life, there were people farrr and wideeee who would have stopped everything to help; even strangers.



And by taking it a step further this year, I'm proving that even strangers in a foreign country, where English isn't the natural language, there are still people there to help when we reach out.

Again, my challenge this year isn’t about donations, it’s about creating conversations, showcasing the kindness of strangers, and most importantly showing that there are so many people willing to help out when we are struggling.
