My MO grows slow, but that's ok, just like cancers and other health issues there are always peaks and valleys and this year just might be a steady rise to the top!

I have 2 inspirations for my Movember ride... One's an ongoing happy story and the other ended differently. "I've looked at life from both sides now..and I really don't know life, at all" -Joni Mitchell

My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer 25 years ago. After surgery, the usual rounds of chemo and spending some time on various hormonal drugs and even some experimental ones, he's pulled through. Things have been free and clear for a few short years but I'm forever motivated by his journey.

My 2nd motivation is a friend lost too soon. He lost his battle to cancer shortly after getting married and starting a family. Dave McGowan was an inspiration to speak up about his battle and a true testament to what a husband and father should aspire to be. This, I am certain, is the definition of a "man's man".
