Join me for Movember 2020

A message from Todd Minerson, Movember’s Canada Country Director

It’s been a bumpy year of challenges and curveballs for everyone (that’s an understatement!), but it has me feeling more inspired than ever to rally together and do a whole lot of good. Because men’s health is still in crisis – mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer still need our help. I’m shaving down on Mo 1st and it’d be amazing if we had you on board

Whether you Grow a Mo, take on the Move challenge, get your friends together for a virtual event or create your own challenge (we call it Mo Your Own Way), you’ll be making a real difference in the lives of real men.

We do what we do because of numbers like this – in Canada,

  • Men die on average 4 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons.
  • Men account for 3 out of 4 suicides, and suicide is the second leading cause of death among Canadian men aged 15-44.
  • 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
  • And testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young Canadian men.
It’s not hard to see why we need to act now. And why we need you with us.

Since 2003, thanks to people like you, Movember has raised millions of dollars for men’s health. With that money we’ve led game-changing research, funded scientific breakthroughs in cancer treatments and developed mental health and suicide prevention programs that have saved and changed lives. We’ve come a long way, but there’s much more to be done.

So, are you in? If there’s one thing I can promise it’s that you’ll be havin’ fun while doin’ good – and I know we could all do with a little fun right now.

Thank you and Mo on,

Todd Minerson
