The Great Canadian Fire Challenge

About This Network

Fire Fighters from all across Canada are coming together and growing Mo's to help change the face of men's health. The ultimate symbol of manliness is a moustache, we're donning our Mo's to help change the face of men's health and break the stigma associated with it. Grow a Mo to raise funds and start conversations and when the Mo comes off....keep on talking. The hall to raise the most funds will be rewarded with the Great Canadian Fire Challenge Movember Moustache Trophy. If there are any questions about the Movember Fire Challenge please reach out to: Jesse Hayman- Movember Canada- jesse@movember.com

As Movember is winding down, please ask yourself a serious question, ‘what have I done this month to improve my health’? Look after your mind, body, soul and emotions. Some simple recommendations: schedule a physical with your Physician, read the ingredients on the food you ingest (if you can’ t pronounce it-you probable shouldn’t be eating it), exercise regularly, eat more fruits and vegetables, try a yoga session...

Change the face of mens health, cancer is treatable if discovered early, cheers to Mens Health

A study released by the University of Cincinnati has determined that firefighters are at a greater risk of developing four different types of cancer than the general population — and also suggests the protective equipment firefighters are using is insufficient in protecting them against cancer-causing agents. Researchers found firefighters have a 100-percent higher risk of developing testicular cancer, a 50- percent higher risk for multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and for prostate cancer it's a 28-percent increased risk, compared with non-firefighters.

Hey Mo's,

I can't tell you how much Movember appreciates everything firefighters across Canada have done for Movember. It's truly amazing. What better way to thank people than with some poetry? Thank you all and Mo love!
