What is Movember?
Movember is the month formerly known as November, where men and women across the globe join together raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues. Men grow a Mo (moustache) for 30 days to become walking, talking billboards, for our men’s health causes - specifically prostate cancer.
Men who support Movember, called Mo Bros, start by registering at Movember.com Mo Bros start Movember 1st clean shaven, then grow and groom their Mo, for the rest of the month, raising money along the way. Women who support Movember, called Mo Sistas, also start by registering at Movember.com. Mo Sistas champion the Mo by supporting their Mo Bros, organizing events, leading a team and spreading the important message of men’s health.

What is a network?
A network is a group made up of different teams and individuals that could represent a company, organization, college or school, sports team, community group or other.
You can be a member of multiple networks, e.g. your work network and/or sports team network. This allows you to contribute to their total amount raised and compare fundraising, while still participating on your own or in a team. This is a great way for business, schools, civil services and other groups to track their progress.
To set up a network for your group please call 1-855-4GROWMO(1-855-447-6966).

What percentage of the donations are given to the Prostate Cancer Canada?
Movember ran its fourth campaign in the Canada in 2010, raising $22.3 million, an amazing increase of $7.8 million over the prior year. This is a terrific effort by our passionate Mo Bros, Mo Sistas and donors at a time when economic conditions are tough and every dollar counts.
Of the funds raised, we are pleased to say that 88% went to our two primary program objectives:
• Generating awareness and educating men on the health issues they face – 2%
• Funding for our beneficiary partners so that they can extend the work they are doing to improve the state of men’s health – 86%
2% was spent on Administration costs, and 10% on Fundraising costs.
The financial summary for the 2010 campaign is located
